Life Story: Born March 19th, as Kallen Maellartach Valentine on an obscure island in the Pacific. Parents moved when he was 10. Grew up as most children, with his younger sister, except for the fact that he hurt everything he touched. He noticed this when he was 11 when playing tag and he lightly tapped a person on the shoulder and they fell to the ground in pain. Soon, he grew to realize that this only happened when he showed emotion, so he began to withdraw from the life around thim. By the age of 15, he had no friends and his parents thought he was depressed. Knowing that he still wasnt in control of his emotions, he refused to communicate extensively with his parents, choosing to spare them the pain he knew he'd cause. His parents never relented however, and one day they cornered him in his room when he arrived from school. He tried desperately to communicate with the fewest words possible that they were in danger. The parents ignored the plee from their son and proceeded to hug him. That would be the last thing they ever did.
Kallen blacked out soon after, and when he awoke, the cold, dead bodies of his parents rested to either side of him. He lamented their deaths as he packed his things and ran from his former home, leaving his sister sleeping behind him. That was the last time he showed such emotion as he travelled the countryside, evading capture as he noticed he was wanted for questioning. He stayed on the run for months before he overslept in a hotel and was subsequently captured by a police officer. In an interrogation room, he told them his tale and even though they refused to touch him afterwards, they also refused to believe him. So he was put into an asylum until they determined he was healthy mentally. The chance never appeared.
He stayed in his room for almost a year, turning 16 in his confinement. The longer he stayed, the more withdrawn he became, and the more he began to learn about his powers. Soon, a month before his 17th birthday, he decided he'd learned everything he could from inside of the asylum, so he planned to escape. The plan was both simple, and quick: He'd kill a guard and walk out. And he did. Kallen waited until it was time to take his meds and touched the guard on the side of the head. The man died as Kallen watched impassively, then he walked out, still in the plain white garb of the asylum. He stopped by a library soon after his escape and searched for any answers for his powers. He found an article on the O'Ryan Manor and looked for more things regarding it. Soon he had an address and a miniscule understanding of the place: children who had powers or trouble with them were welcome to move in. Beyond emotion now, Kallen travelled to the only place that held any interest to him.
